It depends on which photo editor software you're using (some more effective than others). Canon usually ships your camera with a copy of Adobe Photoshop Elements. Choose "Sharpen" from the Edit toolbar.

This will describe how, if you have been using a speedlite alot, than the little tab under the shutter release side of the hot shoe can get bent down thus constantly pressing down (toward the bottom of the camera) the small button which deactivates the pop-up flash even when the speedlite is not attached. Just bend the tab up a little with a jewler's screwdriver, turn the camera off and on and voila!! Fixed!!! Dan describes pushing the tab down, but on the xti, the tab needs to be bent up to release the flash deactivation switch and fix the problem. If this happens when your are shooting with a flash, check your falsh curtain settings.

When you change the zoom, chances are the camera lose focus, and you need to half-press the shutter button again to the camera autofocus. Its normal behavior to lose focus when zooming in or out.

If you ligthly press the shutter button then the screen with the settings must appear. The same with the "Q" button.

If this problem is not described in the troubleshooting section of the cameras's manual, then you need to contact Canon Customer Service, it's not a normal behavior, and probably is not something you can do yourself.

It can happen if you are in the Auto-No Flash mode. Or if the flash release button is stuck. Contact customer service, and have a pro take a look at your camera.

Maybe there's a problem with your camera's pop-up flash. Contact Canon Customer Support, and see what they can do for you. Probably they will point where you can get your camera repaired.

During rainy day, you should prepare camera`s water-proof jacket or an umbrella to protect it against water. Some expensive cameras have been equipped with water-proof material.

No single fix im afraid, there are several fuses on the dc/dc converter that are worth checking, moisture on the flash board can fry them badly resulting in a dead camera.
basicly a dead eos is an eos with problems that wont allow the cpu to start, be it too much current being drawn somewhere, software issues or damaged ribbon cables.. risky business.
