Hi, i accidently opened the battery door cover

Hello. Turn the camera on and go to the menu. Find reset and reset your camera. This will take you back to the original factory settings. Next you may have to format your memory card. once again go to your menu and find format. Formatting will erase what you have on that card, so if you do not want to lose those pix save them to your computer first. Joe

FORMATTING

Hvae you tried taking the card out then looking on the camera for any stored images.

A lot of cameras will automatically use the storage card when it is inserted instead of the camera memory.

You maybe out of luck and lost all your pictures.

Accidently formatted memory card-seem to have lost pictures that were on it

Hello Dear,
There is no internal memory present in any of the Canon Cameras but you can take your Card to a data recovery expert and your photos can be retrieved 100%.
You are suggested not to use this card any more, as if over written there will be NO chances for Data Recovery.

Format restoration

Hey seasea911,
I've read nothing but good things about Art Plus Digital Recovery software, but if it's not working I would keep trying different software until I find one that works. I would make sure your SD card is not set to the locked position before trying to recover your images.

Sincerely,
Allan

How to recover deleted photos from Powershot A3500 IS

First, don't use the card again until you recover! Piriform's Recuva is a free photo recovery program that will allow you to recover images and data from your cards and devices. They're the same people that make CCleaner and are pretty reputable. I don't endorse them here, I've just successfully used their software in the past. Canon PC1045/PowerShot A300 I need an Owner's

You can download a manual and order a USB cable from the manufacturer's web site at http://www.usa.canon.com/consumer/controller?act=ModelInfoAct&fcategoryid=221&modelid=8775

Before you buy another USB cable, consider this: The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive.

There are also plenty of photo catalog software packages out there, some free, some not, that can transfer and catalog your pictures so you can quickly find pictures from Susie's birthday party, for example. Just do a google search for "photo catalog software".

VIDEO FILES OF CANON SX10 IS NOT PLAYING IN WMP

H264 is a "mov." file. Windows media player11 and Power DVD 9 do not support this type of file. If you don't like QuickTime, there are many free media players that will support it (VLC is a good one). You could convert the mov. file to an avi. file with a video converter program. Then your avi. format movie will play in WMP
