Rheem over heat limiter
The OHL is not for sale due to a couple of reasons. If the heat exchanger has a hot spot it will melt the OHL making it useless. The OHL is just a large fuse. Rheem will completely warranty (if within date range) if the OHL or heat exchanger has problems. Bypassing the OHL is very dangerous and could result in a house fire since the appliance is mounted to a wall. I would suggest scrapping the copper heat exchanger for cash. That about all its worth in the condition its in.
How to clear error code 78 on a noritz tankless
For a Noritz tankless water heater, error number 78 indicates a problem with the fan motor. The instructions below will help you clear the problem number 78 on a Noritz tankless water heater:
- Turn off the power to the tankless water heater by either disconnecting it or switching off the circuit breaker.
- Verify that the fan motor is clear of any obstructions or debris that may be preventing it from operating properly.
- Check the fan motor is receiving power by measuring the voltage across the fan leads with a voltmeter. Verify that the electrical connections to the fan motor are secure if there is no voltage.
- If the fan motor is broken or not operating properly, it may need to be replaced. For further assistance with the repair or replacement of the fan motor, you can contact Noritz technical support or a certified HVAC specialist.
- After resolving the issue with the fan motor, switch off the power to the tankless water heater for at least 30 seconds before turning it back on. This will clear the error code and restore normal operation to the device.
- If you are unclear or uncomfortable with any of these processes, you should seek the aid of a certified HVAC specialist or Noritz technical support.

Do i need to replace the sequencer?
It's possible that the sequencer needs to be replaced, as it's responsible for turning on and off the different heating elements in a certain sequence. However, it's also possible that the issue could be with another component, such as the high limit switch or a faulty heating element. It would be best to have a qualified technician diagnose and troubleshoot the issue to determine the root cause and recommend the appropriate solution.

Tempra 24 Plus low water pressure
There are several potential causes of low water pressure with a tankless water heater like the Tempra 24 Plus:
- Flow rate limitations: Tankless water heaters require a minimum flow rate to operate properly, typically around 0.5-0.6 gallons per minute (GPM). If the flow rate drops below this threshold, the heater may shut off or fail to produce hot water. In your case, the initial flow rate of 3.4 GPM is well above this minimum, but the drop to 1.6 GPM suggests that there may be a flow restriction or other issue causing the lower pressure.
- Water supply issues: Low water pressure can also be caused by problems with the water supply itself, such as a clogged or damaged pipe, a water main break, or problems with the city water system. Check with your local water utility to see if there are any known issues or maintenance activities that could be affecting water pressure in your area.
- Water filter or softener issues: The whole-house water filter and softener that you installed could also be causing low water pressure if they are clogged or not functioning properly. Check to make sure that the filters are clean and that the softener is operating correctly.
- Plumbing issues: There could be issues with the plumbing in your home, such as a clogged or damaged pipe, a faulty pressure regulator, or incorrect pipe sizing. Have a licensed plumber inspect your plumbing system to identify any potential issues.
If you have already checked for these potential causes and are still experiencing low water pressure with your Tempra 24 Plus, it may be helpful to contact the manufacturer or a licensed technician for further assistance.
