Had the same issue with this Walkman. You need to know about soldering techniques.This is what I did to fix it.Open the Walkman (4 small screws to the back two of which are located in the battery compartment). Unsolder the pin on the switch to the right and solder the other two pins together.The key symbol on the display turned off and I was able to access all the buttons and controls.Apparently the switch was faulty...don't need it anyway! The adaptor for the SPD-20 is not 12 V ac (Altern Current) the SPD-20 need only Altern current (12V AC)
if the adaptor is 12 v cc, the internal circuits can not made +5v , 0, -5v
for simetrical operactional supply.
And Spd 20 show "Analog test err" and "batery low"

open up itunes and the music library tab then drag and drop your saved music into itunes the music will take a little while to load but after it does you will be able to sync it to the ipod

The following simple guidance is about transfer music from old iPod to new iPod with the "Transfer Purchases" function of iTunes:

  1. Plug the Old iPod into computer via the USB cable. Then launch iTunes.
  2. Click "File > Device > Transfer Purchases". iTunes will automatically transfer the songs to iTunes library.
  3. Plug the new iPod into computer. Then import the songs from iTunes to the new iPod.
But if you want to move the whole music library between iPods, here are better ways to help you do that:

You can transfer the songs from the old iPod to the new iPod using the iTunes Software installed in the Computer. It is required to connect the old iPod to the Computer and sync the songs to the iTunes Software. Select the Sync iPod option from the File Menu. Once you sync the songs from the old iPod you can connect the new iPod and Sync again to transfer the songs from the iTunes.
