It sounds like there might be an issue with the vacuum pump or its electrical connections. Here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot the problem with your Robinair 347002K 134 machine:
1. **Check Power Connection**: Make sure the vacuum pump is properly connected to a power source. Ensure that the power cord is securely plugged into the outlet and that there are no loose connections.
2. **Inspect Power Cord**: Examine the power cord for any signs of damage such as cuts, fraying, or exposed wires. If the power cord is damaged, it should be replaced immediately to prevent electrical hazards.
3. **Check for Overheating**: Vacuum pumps can sometimes overheat if they are running for extended periods without adequate cooling. Check to see if the pump's motor or housing feels excessively hot to the touch. If it does, allow the pump to cool down before attempting to use it again.
4. **Inspect for Obstructions**: Check the pump for any obstructions that may be causing it to malfunction. Remove any debris or foreign objects that may be blocking the pump's intake or exhaust ports.
5. **Test Pump Operation**: Run the vacuum pump with the machine cover removed and observe its operation. Listen for any unusual noises or vibrations that may indicate a mechanical problem. If the pump starts and stops intermittently, it could be a sign of internal damage or wear.
6. **Check Pump Oil Level**: Some vacuum pumps require oil for lubrication. Check the oil level in the pump reservoir and top it up if necessary. Low oil levels can cause the pump to malfunction or overheat.
7. **Inspect Pump Motor**: If the pump continues to cut out intermittently, there may be an issue with the motor or electrical components. Contact the manufacturer or a qualified technician for further diagnosis and repair.
8. **Consider Professional Service**: If you're unable to identify or resolve the issue on your own, consider taking the machine to a professional service center for diagnosis and repair. Attempting to repair complex equipment like vacuum pumps without the necessary expertise can lead to further damage or safety hazards.
By following these troubleshooting steps, you should be able to identify and address the issue with your Robinair 347002K 134 machine's vacuum pump.

Unfortunately no one sells parts. You may be able to get a generic switch from an electronics parts retailer or somewhere like RS Components. There is one advertised for sale for $29!

It's possible that one of the newer sensors could work in place of your 1457 sensor, but it depends on the specifications of the newer sensors and the compatibility with your base unit. The I MAX1457 sensor, which is a highly integrated analog-sensor signal processor optimized for piezoresistive sensor calibration and compensation. However, I have no information about its compatibility. If you're looking for a replacement sensor, I suggest contacting the manufacturer of your base unit to inquire about compatible sensors. Alternatively, you can check the user manual of your base unit to see if it lists compatible sensors. Garage door opener sensors are not universal. Safety sensors can only communicate with garage door openers from the same brand.
Unlikely unless you know the secret maker name and can find them in China. At the moment, no one has heard of it apart from here on Fixya. All questions need FULL 'make model (what it is)' please.

Of course not! You will burn out all the electronic components. You can't just double the voltage. Conversely you can't put a 1.5 volt battery in place of a 3 volt one. Get the proper battery.

Did Live Data work on the SAME vehicle before? Older vehicles don't support that feature, it isn't the Scan tool it is the ECM Software in the vehicle. For instance, not on your
1978 Ford F100
or the
1999 Buick Century
but yes on the
2014 Chevrolet Cruze

Did you change the internal battery? It sounds like you erased the operating software
Note that the battery change must be made within 2 hours; otherwise the above parameters and functions will be reset.
Contact your local distributor. If these machines are leased like the Leica Total Station, they phone home if you miss a payment or start fiddling with internals and they PUK Lock it on you.

Is it new and under warranty?
You say it works, but is doesn't turn on. It can't be both. Details say that once you turn it on, you have to press another button to make it work. Presumably to make sure you don't get the laser in the eye or someone else's eye.

A bit specialised for Fixya, but I just read the manual.
Scale Factor = Section 7-45 Page 295.
Change from 5.000000 to 0.000000
Or try removing the battery again for 10 minutes and replace. There doesn't appear to be a hard reset function.
