Error F14 on a Hotpoint induction hob typically indicates a problem with the touch control panel. Here are a few things you can try to fix this error:

There are only two things you can do as induction cooktops for home use are new technology and also very unreliable, although Schott Ceran are the best of them. I had two elements flashing "F" the correction was turning off the cooktop breaker and returning it to ON. Simple fix.

Finally I found the meaning of FE 31. FE31 means "control panel is dirty" or "some object is on the control panel" When error code FE31 appear on the control panel, clean the control panel area with clean wet paper towel or remove any object on the control panel. If you do not trust me, turn on the cooktop and put small piece of paper towel on control panel. You cannot see FE31 error code soon. Turn off the cooktop and remove the piece of paper towel, the error code EF31 will disappear.

Look for a defective capacitor on the circuit board, like on the picture. The top is somewhat curved or even open. Replace the cap and the ones that are the same. most likely they are from the same batch and will be defect in a few weeks or so. Look at the green capacitors. the top left was blown in my hub. I could not upload a picture, because I can't switch of my add blocker

It is a gas appliance. From the installation manual. Installation and service must be performed by a qualified installer, service agency or the gas supplier. It needs to come out as there is almost certainly fixings from below. Screws on the burners, only hold the burner rings down. In case anyone else encounters this problem here's what
worked for me. I had this happen last night and came here
searching for answers. It did not unloosen on it's own
after being left overnight. Finally this morning I came up
with something that worked for me. Shoot the lid all
around with a hairdryer and use a towel to keep seeing if
it has loosened up enough to move. After a few miuntes of
spraying it with the heat it stared sliding around and then
came up.

This happened to me today too. I heard an intermittent beep (I thought it was some kind of "hot" alarm). Then the 2 hobs on the right stopped working. Looking at my consumer unit, the fuses didn't trip so I'm not sure what might have happened any guidance?

Due to the cost, have the diagnostics and replacement done by a service technician. You will also get warranty on the repair.
