Cant close safe with key ?
If you are unable to lock your safe with the key, there may be a few reasons why this is happening. Here are some steps you can try to resolve the issue:
- Ensure the locking bolts are fully retracted: Before trying to lock your safe, ensure that the locking bolts are fully retracted into the safe door. If the bolts are not fully retracted, this can prevent the locking mechanism from engaging.
- Make sure the key is fully inserted: Ensure that the key is fully inserted into the lock mechanism and turned in the correct direction to lock the safe. Sometimes the key may not turn if it is not fully inserted into the lock.
- Check for any obstructions: Check the door and locking mechanism for any obstructions that may be preventing the lock from engaging. Ensure that the door is fully closed and flush with the safe body.
- Try applying pressure to the door: Sometimes safes can become misaligned, making it difficult to lock the door. Try applying gentle pressure to the door while turning the key to see if this helps the locking mechanism engage.
If none of these steps resolve the issue, there may be a problem with the locking mechanism itself. In this case, you should contact a professional locksmith to diagnose and repair the issue.

DSC Power 832 blank keypad and cant shut off siren?
If the keypad on your DSC Power 832 goes blank when the alarm is tripped, there could be a few reasons for this issue. Here are some troubleshooting steps that you can try:
- Check the power supply: Make sure that the power supply to the alarm system is working correctly. Check the power connections, and ensure that the battery is charged. A weak battery or poor power connections can cause the keypad to go blank.
- Check the keypad connections: Check the keypad connections to ensure that they are secure and not corroded. Corroded connections can cause intermittent issues with the keypad.
- Check for damaged wiring: Check the wiring to the keypad to ensure that it is not damaged. Damaged wiring can cause the keypad to lose power intermittently.
- Test the keypad: Test the keypad to see if it is working correctly. Press each key on the keypad to ensure that it is responding. If any keys are not responding or are responding intermittently, there may be an issue with the keypad itself.
- Check for a faulty control panel: If the above steps do not resolve the issue, there may be a problem with the control panel. A faulty control panel can cause intermittent issues with the keypad.
If you're unable to troubleshoot and resolve the issue on your own, it may be best to contact a professional alarm system technician to diagnose and fix the problem.

We have a Skytech 3002 receiver with a bit of corrosion and the spring at the battery broke off - do I need a new one or can I repair
It is possible to repair a Skytech 3002 receiver that has corrosion or a broken battery spring, but it will depend on the extent of the damage.
If the corrosion is minor, you may be able to clean it off using a soft cloth and some isopropyl alcohol. However, if the corrosion has caused damage to the electronics inside the receiver, it may be difficult to repair and you may need to replace it.
Similarly, if the battery spring has simply come loose, it may be possible to reattach it or replace it with a new one. However, if the spring has broken off completely, it may be difficult to repair and you may need to replace the receiver.
To replace it you can get a discounted one below

Fixing a radio shack 49-2515
To fix the wire on your Radio Shack 49-2515 CMOS camera, you will need to follow these steps:
- Identify the wires: The 8-pin connection wire consists of 8 different colored wires. Identify the wire that has been cut.
- Strip the wire: Using a wire stripper, strip about 1/4 inch of insulation from the end of the wire that has been cut.
- Twist the wire: Twist the strands of the wire together to make a tight bundle.
- Solder the wire: Apply heat to the wire using a soldering iron, and then apply a small amount of solder to the wire to create a solid connection.
- Insulate the wire: Once the solder has cooled, wrap the wire with electrical tape to insulate it.
- Reconnect the wire: Reconnect the wire to the appropriate pin on the 8-pin connector.
Note: If you are not experienced in soldering or working with electrical wiring, it may be best to seek assistance from a professional.
