Canon Digital IXUS 500 5.0MP is not powering on when CF card inserted.
In general Compact Flash Cards have to be formatted within the camera that is using them as they use a format proprietary to that camera. Also there are size limits on cards. If your camera will only take 16 Mb cards and you put a 32 Mb card in, it will not read it. It sees it as 'No Card Present'.

SHARP VL-E600U Looking for a transfer cable for this camera
OK, I'll need an idea of what the old cable looked like. I'm assuming the camera end was a 'Headphones' style plug. A headphones connector of that type is usually a 3.5mm size. Was the other end a single cable, a pair of cables or a set of 3? Can you remember if the were coloured or had coloured marks on them, Commonly red and white for audio and yellow for video. Note this is a video connection cable and it is unlikely you will be able to transfer video to record it. This is an 'Analogue' camera and the cable is basically there so you playback video you took on a larger screen using the camera as a playback machine.

How can I change the language on my Sony DCR PC-100? I'm trying to change it from Japanese to English but I cant seem to find the solution online as well as from reading the manual.
The Sony DCR-PC100 is a camcorder model that was released before touch screen interfaces and language settings became more common on consumer electronics. As such, it's possible that this specific model might not have a built-in option to change the language from Japanese to English, especially if it was originally sold for the Japanese market.
However, there are a few general steps you can try that might help:
- System Menu: Check the camcorder's settings menu for any language-related options. Look for a "System" or "Language" menu where you might be able to change the language settings. Keep in mind that the menu options might still be displayed in Japanese, so you might need to rely on symbols or context.
- Reset to Defaults: Some devices have a "Reset to Defaults" option that might reset all settings, including language, to the factory defaults. This might be worth trying if you're unable to find the language settings.
- Contact Sony Support: If you're unable to find a solution through the manual or online resources, it's best to contact Sony customer support for your region. They might be able to provide specific guidance or let you know if changing the language is even possible on the DCR-PC100.
- Third-Party Resources: Search for user forums or online communities where other users might have faced a similar issue and found a solution. Sometimes, enthusiasts or experts in those communities can provide helpful insights.
- Professional Assistance: If all else fails, consider reaching out to a professional technician or service center that specializes in Sony camcorders. They might have experience with older models and could potentially assist you.

How do I fix the err low f4.8 on my Nikon d80
From the sites I've looked at al say this about f....
Most of the time, this
F Error message is limited to Nikon DLSR cameras. This particular
error message appears when the camera is not able to communicate with the lens.
To
fix F- error message, clean the contacts on the rear of the lens with the help of microfiber cloth and make sure that the lens is locked into its place.
If the problem still persists, then try different lenses to identify whether the problem is in the lens or camera. If you are not able to fix it by yourself, then you can take your camera to the service center.
I'm not a camera buff but I thought I'd pass this on.
other sites too....

All CF cards on the MPU/SRU do not support hot swap. In the ME60-X8 and ME60-X16 chassis, the CF cards support hot swap after the offline buttons of CF cards are pressed. CF card cannot be supported on the X3 models of the
ME60.
