I need the wiring code for rd104e mic to DNT Strato 1 Din 8 Pin

The wiring code for an RD104E microphone to a DNT Strato 1 Din 8 Pin radio will vary depending on the specific models and manufacturers. It's recommended to check the user manual or the technical specifications of the microphone and the radio to find the correct wiring code. Here is a general wiring code for RD104E Microphone to 8 pin DIN connector: Pin 1 - Audio Pin 2 - PTT (Push to Talk) Pin 3 - N/C (No Connection) Pin 4 - N/C (No Connection) Pin 5 - N/C (No Connection) Pin 6 - N/C (No Connection) Pin 7 - Ground Pin 8 - +V (Power) Keep in mind that this wiring code is a general one, and it may not work for your specific microphone and radio. So, it is highly recommended to check the user manual or the technical specifications of the microphone and the radio to find the correct wiring code. Also, it's important to make sure that the voltage and amperage requirements of the microphone are compatible with the radio's power supply.

I have a FT-747GX that won't transmit

If your FT-747GX is not transmitting when you press the PTT button, there are a few things you can try to troubleshoot the issue:
  1. Check the settings: Make sure that the transmitter is set to the correct frequency, mode, and power level. Also, check that the mic gain and RF power settings are adjusted correctly.
  2. Check the antenna connection: Make sure that the antenna is properly connected to the radio and that there are no loose connections.
  3. Check the power supply: Make sure that the radio is receiving adequate power and that the power supply is functioning properly.
  4. Check for software updates: Make sure that your device has the latest software updates installed.
  5. Check for interference: Make sure that your device is not too close to other electronic devices that may be causing interference.
  6. Check the values of the voltage on the main board, as you mentioned, the values of 4.5 and 0 for RX and 0 and 1.4 on TX, it could be possible that one of them is too low or high, which can cause the issue.
  7. Check the PTT switch, and make sure that it is working properly and not stuck.
If none of the above steps resolve the issue, you may need to contact the manufacturer or a professional technician for further assistance. It's recommended to check the user manual of your device before trying any of the above steps, as the process of troubleshooting a transmitter can vary depending on the model and manufacturer.

Magnum S3 talkback and receive fuzzy yet transmit sounds ok except now it only puts out 30 watt from 85.

It sounds like you are experiencing an issue with the audio quality on your Magnum S3 radio, specifically with the talkback and receive audio being fuzzy. Additionally, you've noticed a decrease in the radio output power from 85 watts to 30 watts. Here are a few things you can try to troubleshoot this issue:
  1. Check the microphone and the audio cables for any damage or loose connections.
  2. Check the radio's settings to ensure that the microphone gain and audio levels are set correctly.
  3. Check the SWR (Standing Wave Ratio) and adjust the antenna if necessary.
  4. Make sure that the radio is not in an overdriven state, this can cause distortion and decrease the output power.
  5. Clean the radio's final transistor, check the cooling, and check that the final transistor is not over heating.
  6. Check the radio's manual for any information regarding troubleshoot, or if there are any specific instructions for audio settings and power output.
If none of these steps resolve the issue, it may be a problem with the radio itself and you may need to take your radio to a professional for further assistance. Please note that the information provided is based on my knowledge cut-off date and it may not be current.

On my Galaxy Saturn, I'm getting a carrier on SSB.

  1. It sounds like you're experiencing an issue with your SSB (Single Sideband) transmission on your Galaxy Saturn radio, where you're getting a carrier signal when you're on SSB mode. One possible solution to this problem is to adjust the carrier balance on your radio. The carrier balance is a control that adjusts the level of the carrier signal in relation to the sidebands (the audio information) in the SSB transmission. By adjusting the carrier balance, you can eliminate or reduce the carrier signal and improve the clarity of the audio. The VR (variable resistor) that you need to adjust to adjust the carrier balance depends on the specific model of your Galaxy Saturn radio. It's best to consult the radio's manual or check the schematic diagram to locate the VR that controls the carrier balance. When you turn your inline amp on, the carrier is amplified to about 700-800 on SSB, which is about 85% of the total output power of the Texas Star DX1200. This can cause distortion on SSB transmission and can cause splatter on the adjacent frequency. It's important to properly adjust the carrier balance, as well as the power output and microphone gain, to ensure that your SSB transmissions are clean and clear. It's also recommended to check for any other adjustments such as Microphone Gain and Power output. It's always recommended to seek help from a professional radio technician if you are unsure or cannot find the VR. Please note that the information provided is based on my knowledge cut-off date and it may not be current.

Scalarider q1 is not charging, when i plug it into the wall it will blink in blue led every half a second or second,it should blink red and when i unplug it it will be like there is no battery at all?

It sounds like there may be an issue with the charging mechanism of your Cardo ScalaRider Bluetooth headset. The blue blinking light you're seeing indicates that the device is powered on, but it should blink red when charging. This could be caused by a problem with the charging port or the battery itself. One possible solution is to try a different charging cable and wall adapter to see if that resolves the issue. If that doesn't work, it may be worth trying to reset the device by holding down the power button for 10 seconds while it's connected to the charger. If that doesn't work, the battery or charging port may be damaged and in need of replacement. If none of the above solutions work, please reach out to the manufacturer for further assistance. They may be able to provide a warranty or repair service for your device.

Can you use the Motorola XPR 4550 as a police scanner?

The Motorola XPR 4550 is a two-way radio, not a scanner. Scanners are devices that can listen to a wide range of frequencies, whereas two-way radios are designed for communication between a limited number of specific devices on specific frequencies. However, you can use a scanner to listen to the frequency that the Motorola XPR 4550 is transmitting on.

Tvbp-btn wireless stereo headset. Cannot get it to charge & show blue light. Shows red light when plug into charger; light goes out approx 1 minute later.

If your TVBP-BTN wireless stereo headset is not charging properly and the blue light is not showing, there are a few things you can check to fix the problem.
  1. Check the charger: Make sure that the charger is functioning properly and that the connections are secure. Try using a different charger or USB port to see if that resolves the issue.
  2. Check the charging port: Make sure that the charging port on the headset is not dirty or blocked. Clean it with a dry cloth if necessary.
  3. Check the battery: Make sure that the battery is not damaged or dead. If the battery is damaged or dead, the headset will not charge.
  4. Check for software updates: Make sure that your headset's firmware is up to date, if there is any updates available, install it.
  5. Check the manual: Check the manual that came with the headset for any troubleshooting steps or contact the manufacturer for further assistance.
  6. If you have tried all of the above and the problem persists, it may be a hardware issue, and the headset may need to be repaired or replaced.

Motorolla walkie talkie shuts off when PTT button is pressed... Driving me INSANE. Please help

This is usually a low battery issue. If you are using the rechargeable battery pack, does your Motorola unit accept regular batteries in place of the rechargeable battery? If you can put in 3 or 4 AA batteries (depending on the model), try that. If the radio stays on when you press the PTT button, then continue using the regular batteries or get a replacement rechargeable battery, if you can find one for the model. If the radio still turns off when you press the PTT button with fresh batteries, then replace the two-way radio. I hope this helps. When the rechargeable batteries fail, they will still charge but they won't hold a full charge for as long a period. Cindy Wells

Just bought an ion tailgater and the microphone has no sound. Just wondering if it could be something besides a bad mic?

It could be a bad mic cable or connector. If it is a cheap mic cable, then the chances are very good that the cable has shorted internally. If the mic works on something else, then it is possible that there is a setup function that you have to turn on/off for the mic to work. From what I can see from your photos, I would bet on a low quality MIC cable.

Motorola XTL5000. encoding is working but decoding is not. If you encode a different tone on another radio it still hears it.
