Mic wireing for galaxy 73v
The Galaxy 73V is a CB radio that has a microphone with a four-pin connector. Here are the steps to check the microphone wiring:
- Check the microphone cable: Make sure the cable is not damaged or broken. If the cable is damaged, replace it with a new one.
- Check the microphone pins: Check if the pins on the microphone connector are clean and straight. If they are dirty or bent, clean them or straighten them out.
- Check the microphone wiring: Use a multimeter to check the continuity of the microphone wiring. To do this, set the multimeter to the continuity mode and touch the probes to each of the four pins on the microphone connector. You should hear a beep sound indicating that there is continuity.
- Check the wiring connections inside the radio: Open up the radio and check if the microphone wiring is connected properly. The wiring should be connected to the correct pins on the microphone jack and soldered securely.
- Check the audio circuit: If the wiring is properly connected and there is still low sound, the issue may be with the audio circuit of the radio. In this case, it is best to take the radio to a professional technician for repair.
It is important to note that modifying or tampering with a CB radio is *******, and can result in fines and penalties. If you are not familiar with CB radio repair, it is best to seek the assistance of a professional technician.

Magnum S3 talkback and receive fuzzy yet transmit sounds ok except now it only puts out 30 watt from 85.
It sounds like you are experiencing an issue with the audio quality on your Magnum S3 radio, specifically with the talkback and receive audio being fuzzy. Additionally, you've noticed a decrease in the radio output power from 85 watts to 30 watts.
Here are a few things you can try to troubleshoot this issue:
- Check the microphone and the audio cables for any damage or loose connections.
- Check the radio's settings to ensure that the microphone gain and audio levels are set correctly.
- Check the SWR (Standing Wave Ratio) and adjust the antenna if necessary.
- Make sure that the radio is not in an overdriven state, this can cause distortion and decrease the output power.
- Clean the radio's final transistor, check the cooling, and check that the final transistor is not over heating.
- Check the radio's manual for any information regarding troubleshoot, or if there are any specific instructions for audio settings and power output.
If none of these steps resolve the issue, it may be a problem with the radio itself and you may need to take your radio to a professional for further assistance.

Motorola sliver headset won't power on even when the green lights are solid
There are a few things you can try to troubleshoot this issue with your Motorola Silver headset not powering on:
- Make sure that the headset is fully charged by connecting it to the charger for at least 30 minutes.
- Check the battery contacts in the headset and charger to ensure that they are clean and free of debris.
- Try resetting the headset by holding down the power button for 15 seconds.
- Try a different charger or charging cable to see if that resolves the issue.
- Make sure that the headset is not in pairing mode.
- Check the headset manual for any information regarding troubleshoot, or if there are any specific instructions for turning on the headset.
If none of these steps resolve the issue, it may be a problem with the headset itself and you may need to contact Motorola for further assistance.

On my Galaxy Saturn, I'm getting a carrier on SSB.
- It sounds like you're experiencing an issue with your SSB (Single Sideband) transmission on your Galaxy Saturn radio, where you're getting a carrier signal when you're on SSB mode. One possible solution to this problem is to adjust the carrier balance on your radio.
The carrier balance is a control that adjusts the level of the carrier signal in relation to the sidebands (the audio information) in the SSB transmission. By adjusting the carrier balance, you can eliminate or reduce the carrier signal and improve the clarity of the audio.
The VR (variable resistor) that you need to adjust to adjust the carrier balance depends on the specific model of your Galaxy Saturn radio. It's best to consult the radio's manual or check the schematic diagram to locate the VR that controls the carrier balance.
When you turn your inline amp on, the carrier is amplified to about 700-800 on SSB, which is about 85% of the total output power of the Texas Star DX1200. This can cause distortion on SSB transmission and can cause splatter on the adjacent frequency.
It's important to properly adjust the carrier balance, as well as the power output and microphone gain, to ensure that your SSB transmissions are clean and clear.
It's also recommended to check for any other adjustments such as Microphone Gain and Power output.
It's always recommended to seek help from a professional radio technician if you are unsure or cannot find the VR.
Please note that the information provided is based on my knowledge cut-off date and it may not be current.
