I have a Digitax F2 taxi meter. The display will
I just had this problem with my Digitax f2.My car came out of the garage after 3 days. The meter turned on, and displayed the correct date, time, and year.I returned home \'till I went out to work at 10pm.When I went out to work, I took my first fare, and tried to start the fare on the meter. It showed error 666666.As I drive a Hackney, it is illegal to work without a meter.Consequently, I had to go home, and loose a nights work. The next morning, I went to my local Digitax rep, and had it fixed with their Microchip Key, in a couple of minutes. The rep told me that as the cars\' battery had been removed, and replaced, this action had disabled the meter. The moral of this story is when you get your taxi back from a garage, make sure that your Digitax meter is working properly, by setting a fare. Also, make sure that you pick up the car in time to get to your local Digitax rep, to get any problems fixed the same day.

I have an Impulse 1252xi kicker and 2 12" kicker compvt 2 ohm shallow mount subs in custom ported box. How would I hook the subs up to keep the ohms correct and get the best bass I can get.
To properly wire your 2-ohm Kicker CompVT subs in a way that maintains a 2-ohm load for your Impulse 1252xi amplifier, you can use the following wiring configurations:
Assuming each Kicker CompVT subwoofer has a 2-ohm impedance:
Wiring Configuration 1: Series-Parallel Wiring for 2-Ohm Load
- Connect the positive terminal of the first subwoofer to the positive terminal of the second subwoofer.
- Connect the negative terminal of the first subwoofer to the negative terminal of the second subwoofer.
- Connect the positive terminal of one of the subs to the positive terminal on the amplifier.
- Connect the negative terminal of the other sub to the negative terminal on the amplifier.
This configuration results in a 2-ohm load. It combines the two 2-ohm subs in series (4 ohms) and then connects them in parallel, resulting in a final 2-ohm load.
Wiring Configuration 2: Parallel Wiring for 1-Ohm Load
- Connect the positive terminal of each subwoofer to the positive terminal on the amplifier.
- Connect the negative terminal of each subwoofer to the negative terminal on the amplifier.
This configuration results in a 1-ohm load. It directly connects each 2-ohm subwoofer in parallel.
Choosing the Best Configuration:
The Impulse 1252xi amplifier is likely designed to handle a 2-ohm load without any issues. However, it's essential to check the amplifier's specifications to ensure compatibility with a 2-ohm load.
Choosing between the two configurations depends on the capability of your amplifier. If your amplifier is stable at 1-ohm, you might opt for the second configuration to maximize power. If it's not stable at 1-ohm, go with the first configuration to maintain a 2-ohm load.
Always refer to the amplifier's manual or specifications to confirm its minimum stable impedance and adjust your wiring accordingly. Incorrect impedance matching can result in damage to your amplifier or subwoofers. If you're unsure, consult with a professional car audio installer for personalized advice.
My Pioneer PD-M40 plays the discs if the disc cartridge is already inserted when powered on. But if I power on the machine and then insert the disc cartridge nothing happens.
The issue you're experiencing with your Pioneer PD-M40 suggests a potential problem with the disc loading mechanism or the sensor that detects the presence of the disc cartridge. Here are some troubleshooting steps you can try:
1. **Clean the Disc Cartridge and Player:**
Dust or debris on the disc cartridge or inside the player may affect proper disc loading. Remove the disc cartridge and clean both the cartridge and the player carefully with a soft, lint-free cloth.
2. **Inspect for Obstructions:**
Check for any visible obstructions inside the disc loading mechanism or around the edges of the disc cartridge slot. Ensure that there is nothing blocking the path of the cartridge as it is inserted.
3. **Check for Proper Alignment:**
Ensure that the disc cartridge is properly aligned when inserting it into the player. Misalignment may prevent the player from recognizing the presence of the cartridge.
4. **Try a Different Disc Cartridge:**
If you have access to another disc cartridge, try inserting a different one to see if the issue persists. This can help determine whether the problem is specific to the cartridge or the player itself.
5. **Power Cycling:**
Turn off the player, unplug it from the power source, and wait for a minute or two. Plug it back in, power it on, and then attempt to insert the disc cartridge to see if the issue is resolved.
6. **Test with the Lid Open:**
Power on the player with the lid open and observe the disc loading mechanism as you insert the disc cartridge. Check for any unusual movements, sounds, or signs of misalignment.
7. **Lubrication:**
If the player has not been used for an extended period, lubrication on moving parts may have dried out. Consult the user manual for recommendations on proper lubrication or contact Pioneer customer support.
8. **Contact Pioneer Support:**
If the issue persists and you've exhausted the troubleshooting steps, it may be advisable to contact Pioneer customer support or seek assistance from a qualified technician. There could be an internal issue that requires professional attention.
Always refer to the user manual for your Pioneer PD-M40 for model-specific instructions and recommendations. If you don't have the manual, you may be able to find it on the Pioneer website or by contacting their customer support.
E01 code on my cd player in car
The vehicle has not been identified. The error message seems to appear on cd players when the tray refuses to eject. Lubrication of the ejection mechanism might help. Too little information has been provided to identify the specific model for any sort of disassembly. It is otherwise likely the player will have to be replaced.
Nissan micra audio locked says wait 1 hour
It is saying WAIT 1 HR because the wrong code is being entered.
Leave it SWITCHED ON for an hour and it will reset itself
Make sure you have the correct code
read below if you do not have the code
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
First make sure that the code has not been noted somewhere
within the car (underneath the ash tray, glove box , rear of sun visor etc)
To see if your code is available here for free then the radio will have to be
removed from the dashboard (and if you are lucky, someone may have written the
code on the casing ) .
If not then POST A BRAND NEW QUESTION
quoting the radio MAKE+MODEL plus ALL the LETTERS+NUMBERS on
ANY LABELS ,BARCODES or STAMPED IN THE METAL CASING
Also quote the MAKE of CAR
note: Unfortunately not all radios can be decoded using the
Serial Number
Otherwise try your Main Dealer ...........or take it into a
Decode Service who will plug in a laptop to read/recode the memory chip
(EEPROM). This takes a few minutes and shouldn`t be too expensive
Where is the fuse located
The 40A fuse should be immediately to the right of the B+ terminal. If you bought this amp used, and it's never turned on before, it's possible the previous owner removed the fuse. It's hard to miss if it's actually there, so you're probably seeing an empty slot where the fuse is supposed to be. With the radio turned off, insert a 40A ATC (blade style) fuse into the slot, and then power it up.
