My Brother XM2701 took a short fall (2-3 inches). Now all it will do is make a whining noise when the foot pedal is pushed. I have cleaned around the bobbin case. Any thoughts.

I have two thoughts on this. The belt, if it is belt driven has come off. The whirring is the motor. As it is an electronic machine, bad connection to the control board. https://www.google.com/search?q=brother+xm2701+belt+replacement ..

I have a Brother SE 400 that needs a new speed control (not foot controller)

I would have thought the maker could supply parts for everything they have sold. Contact them direct. Make sure your repair shop is an authorised service centre. https://www.brother.ca/en/placing-an-order

The touch screen on my Brother QC 1000 lights up but there is no display.

Take it in for service. It is likely to be the control board and they are expensive! Some ideas here though concerning brightness. https://www.google.com/search?q=Brother+QC+1000+lights+up+but+there+is+no+display ..

I need a power cord/foot control for my Brother sewing machine. The model number on the back is G47114733 but I cannot find that number listed on any Brother site. Is that a real model number?

Question edited for clarity, it's a 'Brother' not your brother. ;>) That isn't the Model number, it is the Serial number. There is help here. Brother will tell you what your machine is from the serial number and will also supply a new foot control. Did you try taking it apart and cleaning oiling the tracks inside? https://ourpastimes.com/out-brother-sewing-machine-is-6741148.html ..

Try cleaning the area below the needle plate. See owners manual (p45).

Difficult to say. You may have to start out by replacing the parts that you know were damaged and then work from there.

Lisere. Why doesn't it sew forward?

Check the Reverse Switch (just below the Stitch Selector) to see if it is or has returned to the UP Position. If you can't press it Down it may be stuck or broken. You may have to take it to a repair shop.

How to remove brother XL2230 sewing machine case

Take off the panel that conceals the lamp (see your instruction manual) and you will see another screw that needs to be removed before you can take the larger back panel off.

What does error F2 indicate?

An error message from F1-F9, means the machine is malfunctioning, so it's best to see a technician who can fix it. You can't fix it yourself. Sorry.
