How to find brother sewing machine ZZ3-B982 user guide?
Brother has extensive website and customer service. If you go to their site for your country and put in your model number, they'll tell you if they can get you a manual. Most are just downloads.. very easy. I'd give you a URL but I don't know where you are located.
They have fabulous customer service, so try there first.
My Brother CE1008 will load a bobbin but the machine does nothing but give me error E1 when I try to sew. What could be the problem?
This error code is often triggered when you try to sew with the Presser Foot it the UP position. Lower the foot, turn the machine off and on again. If this doesn't fix the issue the problem is probably the trigger lever inside the machine. The lever controls the cut-out switch for the presser foot. It is a common fault on Brother machines. The lever 'sticks' and doesn't turn off the safety switch. You can repair this yourself BUT you have to open up the body of the sewing machine to get to it. I've attached a video that explains it in more detail.
*Note* If you do try to do this yourself make sure the machine is NOT plugged in. Also make sure you have remove All the screws before you separate the two halves of the plastic body shell. If you miss one you'll snap bits of plastic off possibly making the machine unsafe to use.
Presser foot down, but still get error "E1"
I had the same problem. It started after I took the cover off to fix something else. After I screwed the cover back on, I kept getting the E1 message even when the foot was already down. I took the cover off again, and I found that there is a metal tab at the top left of the front cover, that is pushed by a metal tab in the back that moves when you put the presser foot up or down. You can see this metal tab moving in the back if you put the foot up and down with the cover off. Just putting the foot down(I think) before putting the cover back on fixed it so one metal tab is on the correct side of the other metal tab.
