I do not have experience with milk or chocolate, but for coffee and tea, at the end of a brew cycle, the green light should flip to the MANUAL light. For the next 30 seconds you have the option to press and hold the start button, to force more hot water through the pod into your cup. Give this a try to purge the pod of it's goodies!

Edited question for clarity. Moved from 'Cars and Trucks' category to Braun Coffee. Take it apart and test the switch. It may be brushes on the motor. your problem will be getting spares. This machine was released in 1965. https://www.google.com/search?q=braun+kmm1+switch+replacement ..

The float that detects the water level might need freeing up. Or, assuming detachable water container, ensure that it is seated fully. Lift it up a bit and guide it down firmly. If it's not that, try unplugging the machine for about 5 mins. and see if it resets to normal operation.

If all the indicator lights are flashing after you've initialized your machine, reset it by turning it off and then on. If there's no disk in the brewing mechanism, all the indicator lights will flash.Sep 5, 2020

I found a website under Braun that had the operating manual in pdf.

Hi the top light is orange but the bottom light is flashing red and only a bit of water will come out then it stops
