The nylon Gear in the head has theeth missing. I need a parts break down and a source for part.
this is for a Grasshog. NST 2018 Trimmer

Possibly the Start capacitor has leaked or has rusted. happened to my garden shreader! if you get the timing right when you start it it might work normaly. if not try to replace capacitor or get it servised

find your local electric motor repair/rewinding shop and take the old motor there ask what you could get to replace it consider that the new motor will probably be better if it is a bigger hp unit as grass ( especially wet grass) is hard to cut and B&D would only install a motor that only just does the job

The motor is burned out.

Only B&D will have that information.

the nut or if no nut , the thread is left hand so hold the shaft and do it up to undo it ( clockwise direction)

Use loctite to keep the bolt from coming loose.
