Belkin n600 db wiresless dualband usb adapter keeps shutting off
That's been a problem for years. Sleep mode turns off USB devices, and they seldom wake when the computer is activated again. To make sure this isn't the problem, you can
- Go into Device Manager and under each USB Device, Power tab, disable "Let this device turn off to save power".
- Edit Sleep Mode to not control USB devices.
- Don't use Sleep Mode.
- Unplug the adapter, wait a few seconds, plug in the adapter.
If none of these help, try a self-powered hub. The internal power supply lets you use about 500ma for each USB device, but some draw more current than that. The self-powered hub can deliver what's actually needed for the devices.
I have a Belkin wireless
Start by checking for "link" between the modem and wireless router. This is usually a tiny light built into the network port itself on each piece of network equipment. It should be solidly on if the link is good. If it isn't on, check that you have the network cables plugged in good and that the cables or connectors are not broken or damaged. If you have another network cable, try it instead of the one you were using.
If these steps don't help, you can try fully resetting your wireless router to factory defaults, then reconfiguring it again. Consult the manual for your brand and model of wireless router for this. It may also have additional troubleshooting steps.
There is a chance your wireless router has simply gone bad. I've seen new Belkin wireless routers for as little as $29, so you may want to go that route, rather than spending too much time trying to troubleshoot the one you have.
Can't use n wireless settings to it's full potential
Range (distance from modem/router to computer) is shorter on higher speeds -- N signals won't travel as far through your home as G. Walls greatly reduce range. Move the computer closer to the modem/router and see if you don't get higher speeds. Then you can decide if you need to relocate the modem/router closer to the computer. The question is, why is Wi-Fi speed important to you? Your G speed is already 10x - 20x your Internet speed. Wi-Fi speed only matters if you're doing a lot of file transfers between devices inside your network. You may be trying to solve a problem you don't have.

Using my mobile phone won't accept my password
Prolly because out the box that router uses AES encryption. You can drop it down to say 64bit from the AES 256bit and most cell phones B network cards will understand 64bit. You will need to basically change the routers security and youtube has a ton videos show you how.
Cannot connect tablet - authentication problem
Some later model wireless routers have the Password (ie.Encryption key) and the SSID already configured in the wireless router and this information is printed on a label on the bottom of the router. These settings can be used to configure the wireless card and wireless adapters in your computer/laptop/tablet. If these settings do not suit you, then it can be changed to suit your requirements. The encryption key secures your data and wireless connection from unauthorized access. To configure the wireless settings in the router, connect a LAN cable from your computer to the wireless router, then open a Browser on your computer and enter the router's configuration IP address, then enter the admin login and password and then go to the wireless settings and configure the SSID and Encryption key. The router's encryption key can be a Passphrase or the WEP or WPA or WPA2 key.If you use the Passphrase method select either WEP or WPA or WPA2 to generate the encryption key. You can enter the WEP or WPA or WPA2 key with 8 to 63 ASCII characters or 64 Hex digits. Most people use Passphrase which is easier to remember eg. I was born in January 1988. The strongest and latest security is WPA2, the weakest and oldest is WEP. To connect to your wireless router from the computer/laptop, configure the wireless card in your computer/laptop with the router's wireless settings ie SSID, plus the WPA or WPA2 encryption key. Then computer/laptops can communicate with your wireless router.
