I want to clean the filters on my Baumatic
The metal filters can be cleaned with ANY good degreaser. The carbon filters need to be replaced. Parts are available from the manufacturer or an appliance repair shop that handles your brand.
Fridge is working but freezer is cold but wont
Could be a defrost problem, low refrigerant, dirty condencer coil if it is under frig, Or electronic sensor failure. compressor could have valve problem. Too many things to go wrong to pin point problem. If you can see the bigger of the two tubes going to the compressor and it is frosted up then its insde air flow problem more than likely a defrost problem. If you can get to the evaporator coil inside and see if it is froze up or not will tell a lot. If it is and you can thaw it out and it works ok for a day or so then it is a defrost problem. this will require a tech to come out and decide what the cause is . Your warranty may cover most of the cost.
Rangehood malfunction
My Baumatic Rangehood model BAISL92.2 had the letter A flashing. I was advised by a repairman that it indicated the filters needed to be cleaned with warm soapy water. Apparently in my particular model there is a built in 30 hour timer for when the filters need to be cleaned. To remove the flashing letter A, I was advised to clean the filters, turn off the rangehood and while it was off, press the (-) (minus) button and hold for 5 seconds. It beeped and the flashing letter A was removed. This worked for my particular model - I couldn't guarantee it would be the solution for your model. I hope this is some help.
Freezer not cooling
ZoeM, I am thinking freeze up from humid conditions, too much 'window shopping' or bad door gasket (is that the seal of which you speak?). If the unit is only 9 months old...it has a full warranty. Don't do anything to it beyond what is described here.
Defrost the unit completely. If you can get warm air to the coils, do so. If not, leave it off and open for 2 days to completely defrost.
To check most door gaskets: first, make sure the gasket and its mating surface are both clean and visually undamaged. Next, test by simply closing the door on a piece of paper...use a strip about 2-3 inches wide and long enough to go inside the unit that you can slide across the gasket/frame surface. Close the door with the strip near any suspect areas. You should not be able to pull the strip out easily. Replace any damaged gaskets.
Tappan TFC13M0AW1 Chest Freezer. What part should I replace?
Question edited to add maker! All questions need 'make model (what it is) as first three words.
That is an overheating fault. Replace the fluff with no fluff.
Make sure the condenser coils are free of dust and there is good airflow
Or
It is low on refrigerant gas and you need a service tech..
