If you have the older Bakers pride manufactured more then 20 years ago and it has never had service, it sounds like the safety valve is defective, that's the red button you push in the light pilot, if the pilot is lit and when you turn the manual gas valve on for the main burner to lite and still it does not you problem still may be the safety and/or a failing thermocouple.

If the oven will light and work with the door open but flames out with the door closed, you have the air input blocked somehow. I know some people line their ovens with aluminum foil, but you have to make sure that you have the air flow.

Turn off gas supply. Open panel on left side. Loosen the top and bottom unions. Remove thermostat capillary line from the oven. Now remove thermostat with 2 pipe wrenches. install new thermostat and attach assembly to the unions you loosened. Now insert the capillary line back into the oven.

I would suggest that the thermostatic gas control valve is faulty and you will require a Gas Safe engineer to verify and replace the item.

On the left side, remove the knobs and cover. The spring holding the door closed needs to be removed. Have someone hold the door closed while removing the door spring. Now let the door open and you will see two screws holding the door to the door rod assembly on the left side. These screws are usually 9/16. After removing the two screws, the door will pull off the door pin that is located on the right side.

normally you have three types of baking methods. 1. Top only 2. Bottom only 3. Both. -use the setting to this configuration then you will be good to go. OR Only one part of your oven is working. THIS can NOT be due to a circuit issue. The other heating wire might be probably damaged. Get it replaced. Will cost you very less about USD5-10.
