Nope, there is no work around to get a full screen view with your unit. first, make sure the TV in in American Cable mode (ntsc). next do this, menu... tuner... cable... scan... the reason maybe the TV is on TV air mode; but now is receiving cable. from the antenna coax cable. . another reason is that many cableco's now use Switched Digital Video ( a more robust setup) that now requires the Digital Tuning Adapter... also to help prevent free-loading. a last possibility is your (old) TV does Not work on the new cable.
