How do you use the audio/video input connections
input connections are disabled by Motorola for a "future use", or so they say. Sorry for the bad news, you may buy an audio/video switcher to add more A/V inputs to your TV set, hope this helps.
I want to turn off
Hi sbbaker
I`m gonna try to help you but i would need your model number.
It will be written at the back of the set.

I finally subscribed to Comcast's Digital package
Hello!
Comcast here. Most likely, the channels you need have been converted to a digital signal and now require a DTA (Digital Transport Adapter). Comcast is supplying our customer that lost programing as a result of the digitial transition up to 2 DTA's per home free of charge. Email our team at the address below. We'll get you cared for.

I have a motorola DSR
It is possible that thier is something wrong with your box, or their is
something wrong with the actual service that your getting. If the
Motorola DSR 922 is being rented by your cable company then you need to
call them and they will replace the box for free..
Also if its their box I don't recommend trying to open it up and working on it.
If its your own box that you have paid for and own then the first step
is calling them and having them check the single in your house. These
boxes have to get a certain single strength if it falls below a certain
point it can effect what channels you can get.
That's gonna be the first step. I have no way of testing your single strength.
Please mark this as fixya if it helps. I think it has to do more with
your single your getting b4 the box itself. I dont know the exact
strength singles for your area either. So please call your service
provider.

Motorola dvr dct6412 locked channels
Check with your provider to ensure that you are in expanded services, or limited. Because being on limited services the box will lock you out of those channels. If you are in billing for those services and you checked the batteries on your remote and they are good and you get a solid red blink when you change channels not a double blink (indicating that your batteries are dying), Then try power cycling your DVR by, removing the power supply and waiting 3sec then plug it back in. Your box should shut off, turn itself back on, then go into the load screen, then, once the load screen display shows on your tv and on box display, wait for your box to completely load (don't touch nothing until the correct time shows up, meaning that it has completed the load process) Once the process is complete turn box back on and you should have you guide back up and (No Data) on your program schedule(Don't Worry!!) it will populate, with 15-20 mins.
Now try to ch. up and down and see if that fixed the problem. also make sure nothing is blocking the sensor. If all else fails and you changed the battery, called your cable provider and request a box swap, (be sure to watch all your recorded shows because they go bye, bye with the cable guy!)
Bought a verizon hd 6200 dvr on e-bay
You can't because these units are not owned by the customers, they belong to Verizon, and the customers are renting the units. They are not to be sold, they are to be returned. The box is probably still under the customer (DELIQUENT acct) and he never returned it and he sold it on ebay to get some money to pay his deliquent bill....Sorry!
Will not power up
Have cable provider send an IN (Iniatializing) hit to box to determine if box is responding to and communicating with signal. If that doesn't work then try yourself to unplug and plug the unit back to power and if that does not solve the issue then box more than likely has a bad power supply.
Motorola Dual Tuner PVR - DCT 6412-III --- HELP
Hi.
The information provided shows that tuner 2 isn't working at all on at least the selected channel. This could be a problem on just some channels with this tuner or possibly all channels. You can verify this by hitting the "SWAP" button on the remote to switch tuners while viewing a live program on a problem channel. If you choose the same channel for each tuner, I expect you will see program on one and "one moment please" or freezing or pixelation on the other. The confusion about recording comes about because of how the DCT6412 chooses which tuner to use for recording versus viewing. If you activate record on a channel you are watching, it will use that tuner. If you see it, it will record. For future or series recordings though it will automatically choose to use the alternate tuner so that it won't have to change your channel selection. Since there is no input signal detected on the other tuner, it will actually record but there will be nothing to see on play back. What causes this? It is probably that tuner 2 has failed. There is a slim chance that your cable signal coming in is either too strong or too weak but this is unlikely since the DCT6412 splits and then amplifies the cable input signal before distributing essentially equal signals to both tuners (the plug on coax adapter on the back feeds the cable signal to an AGC amplifier within the DCT6412 and then splits and distributes that output to both tuner inputs). You could check the OOB AGC level as described here http://www.cable-help.com/ but I think your problem is more likely that tuner 2 has gone bad. JM Belleville Ontario

Motorola dsr922 lockup on startup
ATS electronics can repair the board that died. running out of boards is not a problem. the dsr-920 receiver is junk if the battery dies..the chip that stores the unit ID number is no longer manufactured....
