How does one convert dsr922 to dsr410
This is done by installing a new firmware. It should automatically happen directly thru the air - the new firmware will be sent thru the sattellite, thru the normal firmware update channel. If you haven't got it yet then either you don't have the correct LNB for the correct AMC18/W5 sattellite (you will have to add it to your antenna also) or the update was rejected by your box because it can't process it.
If you have the correct LNB on the correct sattellite then your only hope of loading the new firmware is to do it yourself, from the menu.

E68 error code
Hello
There is nothing about this fault in the manual of your DTV recever. It may be due to the inserted card inside. Contact your service provider to rectify the fault. OK.
Error code E 68
The error code and the statement that the cable company can't access the
box indicates that either the box has a hard fault or the communication
path has been corrupted. A hard fault would require your cable company
to repair or replace the box. The communication path can be corrupted
by failure of splitters, connectors or cables, which doesn't "just
happen" often but is a possibility. It sounds like the cable drop to
your house is split prior to entering the house, therefore, I would
recommend inspecting that area to determine if the exposed
cable/splitter has been tampered with or damaged. If there are other
cable access points in the house, then there are other splitters that
should be checked. BTW, have you tried plugging the cable directly into
your set to see if the set's built-in NTSC/analog cable tuner can
receive any signal? This could help rule in/out connectivity issues or
6200 stb failure.
Comcast is useless. Got a Motorola 6200 from
if you are using HD. the colors do not really make a difference so to speak. just make sure whatever you hook to the red video goes to red video of tv and same with blue and green. then the same with red and white audio (some cables come with 3 thicker and two thiner to help with which should be audio and video) try 1800comcast
How do I turn on closed captioning on a Motorola
i do not believe this is a function of the dct700 but you can try turning the power off then hitting the menu button (maybe twice or hold down. if the option is there that would be the place to look

shouldnt have to "recconect" the remote. have you tried it with a different outlet (not conected to cable just to see if the little power light comes on. Also, how long unpluged. if over 2wks to a month might it may be downloaing new firmware that is "pushed" to the device durring normal operation. If neither works you may need to have it swapped out.
My DCT6200 cable box keeps
1) have you tried changing that box in that room to another and the box from the other to this room. That may give you an idea of either power or signal strength issue.
2) after it resets does a "dl" show up on the box front. if so it is trying to download a firmware/software update and everythime you power cycle it starts over.
3) turn the box off then hit select and go to option 8. there should be 4 modules enabled.
4) you may need a new box
