I have met similar problems with it. But I have tried to use Audible Converter to change the audiobook file format for several months. It helps me convert to MP3 farmat and upload to my player! Can't exactly help you, but I'm in the same situation. I got a crack across the middle of the screen on my 43 while it was in my pocket. It seems like this might be a problem with the gen 8 tablets, but Archos is currently refusing to consider it defective.

the battery is now bad, EOL we buy a new on and put it in my tab is on battery #3 now. and not a surprise ever.

Reset the modem and try again.

You need to keep doing it till calibrated, happened to me but got it after a while.

I have found a solution for this issue, if you hold down the volume button and the power button for several seconds the Archos goes into a restore type mode. You then plug it into your computer and download the latest firmware update and cut and paste it onto the archos removable hard drive icon that appears in my computer. It will take a few minutes to update but then it will work perfectly.

Hard drive error
Same exact problem let sit for several months went to turn on and all i could see was a "hard disk error" message flash very quickly and then turn off. after months of no help online i decided to open.

My jukebox 20 and there are 4 ni-cad batteries inside. i removed batteries and replaced with 4 "AA"

iTunes song have DRM protection, you have to remove DRM from iTunes and convert M4a to MP3.

The serial number can either be found on the back of the device, or can also be found in the android settings. to get to the serial in the android settings:

1. Touch the settings app.
2. Touch the System Settings option.
3. Touch the Device Information option.
4. In there there should be a list of device information including the serial number.
