Pull up on gooseneck and turn counter clockwise until you feel gooseneck thread into the housing a couple of turns

Yes, those parts are a 'Standard' (excuse pun) part. Replace them both and the seal between the tank and bowl. Buy a small tube of silicone too. There are bound to be videos of how to replace. It is fairly straight forward. Don't overtighten the bolts, finger tight and a quarter turn.

the cost to do the job will be larger that a new tap

If it is a split unit like the one in the image, the drip pan is under the evaporator and it drains automatically to outside via a black 1/2" utility pipe.

You have to try resetting the system. First turn the breaker off for the condenser and wait about 20 seconds. After you turn it back on the system should reset. If you need any other assistance check us out online at Boca AC Service we are always happy to lend a helping hand
