What is recording medium in your camcorder? Memory card, hard drive, built in memory? If memory card or hard drive then remove it from camcorder, connect to computer and use recovery software. Hopefully camcorder doesn't do full format only quick format. If full format was performed then say good bye to your recordings. I don't kow if any recordings on internal memory can be recovered.

You cannot transfer or copy images recorded on one device to another - even if they are the same file type, the formats are incompatible.
