What can't your switch do?
Does it power on? Switched come with a power adapter that plugs directly into the wall power, then other end into the back of the switch. If it doesn't come on, suspect internal problems

I want to know how I can re-set my 3Com 3crwe955275 wireless access point to its default factory settings. Can anyone help?
1 Remove power from the Gateway.
2 Disconnect all your computers and the cable/DSL modem from the Gateway router.
3 Using a straight through Ethernet cable, connect the Ethernet Cable/DSL port on the rear of the Gateway to any one of the LAN ports.
4 Re-apply power to the Gateway. The Alert LED will flash as the Gateway starts up, and after approximately 30 seconds will start to flash more slowly (typically 2 seconds on, 2 seconds off). Once the Alert LED has started to flash slowly, remove power from the Gateway.
5 Remove the cable connecting the Cable/DSL port to the LAN port, and reconnect one of your computers to one of the Gateway LAN ports.
6 Re-apply power to the Gateway, and when the start-up sequence has completed, browse to:
http://192.168.1.1
and run the configuration wizard. You may need to restart your computer before you attempt this.
7 When the configuration wizard has completed, you may reconnect your network as it was before

Voicemail password admin reset
The phone password has to be reset on the phone system (by the Administrator), not the phone. If you purchased phones and added them to the system, then those extensions wouldn't have passwords on them if they were newly added to it. If you purchased the entire system and phones then you can reset the phone passwords under "system maintenance", "password administration".
Lost web interface otherwise system is working
This does happen occasionally but is not a typical thing. This means that you have either lost network access to the system or a service on the system has stopped. The system will have to be rebooted to get things going normally again. The preferred method (since you can do it through netset) is to connect to the console port with a DB9 straight through serial cable and open hyperterm or putty and connect to it at 9800, 8, 1 none settings. Hit ctrl r and the system will reboot. if you don't have a serial cable then you are forced to pull the power or switch it off and then back on. CAUTION: you risk a database corruption every time the system loses power without closing the database properly (netset or ctrl r through the console) so do this as a last resort. Also, the system will do a disk scan (except V3001) and will take 15 to 45 minutes to complete before the system will start to function again. DO NOT UNPLUG IT AGAIN WHILE IT IS DOING A DISK SCAN! You can tell if it is doing the scan by looking at the S1 and S2 lights on the Call Processor. During a disk scan, they will be alternating back and forth (like police lights). Wait for it to complete and try netset again. I recommend doing a fresh reboot through netset after it comes back up just to be sure it's a fresh clean boot.
Tips on how to fix rj45 connector problem
Replacing the Patch cord is the easiest thing to do. If it is crimped on to the cable coming out of the wall, you should put a jack on it. To replace the clear mod plug on the end, you need another Rj45 mod plug and a crimp tool. These can be purchased at Home Depot, Graybar, Fry's electronics, Radio Shack etc. The crimp tool can be a little expensive but if you are going to need to do any more in the future, you'll have what you need. If you decide to put a Cat5e or Cat6 jack on it, they too can be purchased at the places mentioned above. You would need a punch tool instead of a crimp tool. Some jacks are tool-less but that is not the norm.
What is 3x phone
For 3Com that would mean a 3100 series or 3500 series phones. The 3100 series phones are for NBX and VCX phone systems and the 3500 series phones are for VCX only. Both are also SIP compliant.
The sytem says its waiting for NCP and has the NCP
This means that the phone and the NCP (Network Call Processor) in the phone system aren't communicating with each other. Multiple problems can cause this. Things to check:
1. Network cable - Is it plugged in, and to the right port?
2. Phone died
3. Is there an available license? (3100 series phones)
4. Is there a network switch problem causing a loss of communication through whatever switch that the phone is plugged into.
In NBX 100 3COM phone
I know this is old but maybe it can help someone else.
The line cards are "hot swappable and don't always reset with a reboot (especially a Digital Line card) you should try to re-seat the Line card after the system has booted up. This is done by unscrewing the black knobs at each end and then sliding the card out about an inch. Wait about 10 seconds and plug it back in. It takes about 2 minutes for the card to boot and synch with the phone company. Try your call again. If it's still not working after about 5 minutes, check the card in the phone system and make sure the channels are idle. If they are, call the phone company.
