transmission did not have a drop in it. I crawled under the van and had noticed the tranny leak was comming from a hole in the pan. I replaced the seal and pan and filled it with 4 quarts as indicated

tranny fluid it takes? IF your van is front wheel drive only, the transmission is indeed a 3 speed A413. If your van is all wheel drive, your transmission is a 4 speed A604. Capacity is 4 quarts or so
