heater blowing cold air If the heater hoses are hot, it may be a problem with a blend door under the dash.  The blend doors direct air thru the heater core and thru the vents.

I have a 2008 Jeep Liberty Sport. The air for the a/c and heat will only come out of the defrost and floor vents. I have no problem with the air changing from hot to cold. Blend door is not working.
