once the engine warms up it shuts down. there is some backfiring every once in a while to. We have rebuilt the carb, replaced the pet **** and replaced the tank. Any suggestions on what to check next?

...when warmed by engine temperature will let the engine run smoothly again. And possibly a distributor cap/rotor. Backfire is usually caused by a timing problem or maybe a fuel problem. Hope this

...over. Once running on choke, RPM is low, engine backfires. Back firing continues after warmed up with no choke and more so when throttle applied. clean out carbs set float levels to correct
