pulley is absolute TDC.Turn the crank so that the halfway mark on the pulley is aligned with your block reference. The very first mark you made on the pulley is just so you can return to that position

...back on You might need to put a floor jack under the engine and raise it up just a bit. Be sure you get the jack on just the crank pulley or you might crush the oil pan and do internal engine
