My Oliso isn't heating. The back end of the iron gets warm but no heat to the sole of the iron. Could this but a broken connection from the cord to the inside of the back panel? I can't give up my Oli

I got this iron for christmas, it shot steam 2 times and thats all. I had it set on cotton, linen. I used reg bottled water, should i use tap and why no shots of steam.
