crank thrust bearing are worn causing a resistance ,to check this get someone to push the clutch down and you check the front pulley to see if it moves forewards when clutch is pushed down ,now as for
crank pulley doesnt have timing marks and the timing cover is so dirty i cant see them. I retimed it anyway but all i could do is stick a long screwdriver in through the #1 spark plug hole to find TDC
crank pulley has no timing marks on it and neither does my timing cover i had to take the spark plug out for #1 and turn the crank by hand until i got it right on TDC. I havent tried to start it again
