I went to put a new toner in my Lexmark T520 and it won't print now it comes up with incompatibility in the window...how do I fix this?

Did you replace the toner cartridge with a Lexmark new or factory refurbished cartridge?

If not, then more than likely that's your problem. Lexmark put smart chips in the cartridges that prevents there re-use unless these chips were either replaced or scrubbed clean.

If this is a factory new or refurbished cartridge, contact Lexmark.

The cartridges are chipped differently for different printers even though the cartridge bodies look the same. You need to find a chip for the Lexmark cartridge to put on the Toshiba, then maybe it will work.

Lexmark E250d

I had the same problem today with my printer. All of a sudden, the first and fourth light lit up. I contacted Lexmark and they said my toner cartrigde needed to be replaced.
The problem is caused by the little chip under the cartridge. I replaced the chip with an old one I had on another cartridge and I got the printer to work again.
You can buy a replacement chip from Lexmark or from a jobber selling replacement cartridge or toner refills.
Hope that helps.
