The prob light on the electric oven control is on and no other keys on the panel work. I cannot press cancel/off etc.

First thing to try is to turn off the breaker to the oven for a minute to reset the electronics. That MAY cure the problem. Beyond that, the repair would not be DIY.

Broiler element not working at all. checked element--it's OK. Called a serviceman-- he thought it was an oven sensor--replaced sensor ---no change Electronic clock some times shows a code "F2 ...

you do not say it is electric oven. if so broil element requires 240 vac. may be controlled by relay. Is bake element working? also controls for broil may be different setting if digital panel is in this design. I think same sensor may be used for bake or broil.

you do not say if gas oven, electric oven, single or double oven or if digital panel control, a little more information would help.

if you have digial voltmeter, FULLY disconnect electric power and measure element on terminals. probably less than 15-20 ohms for a good element.

When fan oven is on it never heats up

If the fan is working o/k, and the temperature light is on, then you need to fit a new oven element, usually located at rear of oven, behind a removeable panel
Hope this helps solve your prob..
Thanks.

Baumatic B180ss Electric oven problem

It sounds like the overheat safety stat is cutting the oven off.
This is prevent the oven overheating and catching fire.
They can go faulty and operate prematurely, causing the prob u are experiencing.
If it is built in , make sure it has adequate ventilation, as this can cause the prob.
Also check to see if it has an external cooling fan fitted, these can fail, and again cause the prob.
They are usually fitted under the top cover of the oven, and designed to keep the oven cool.
It should come on shortly after turning the oven on
These things are the most likely cause of the prob.
plz rate my solution.
Thanks.

Oven Light won't shut off

Amazing, I had the same problem, was told the same thing, even quoted the same amount!   There must be a playbook with stupid answers by repair people.  Anyhow, here is how I unlocked my oven:  "Press and hold the 'Lock' button for 3 seconds then let go and it should unlock in about a minute."  Hope this works for you.
