I have a Corrupted Transcend 4GB Removable Divice how can i repair that.?

click start control panel administrative tools computer management disk management right click on your drive select properties click tools you should see click check now click start two boxes

automatically fix files and scan for and attempt recovery of bad sectors place then a tick in both boxes then select check now start

you might tick one box then return after its finished the first repair then return and tick the second box you should not do anything while the chkdsk utility is in progress any input may damage this drive

I found that you get best results by ticking one box then returning after it has finished then tick the other box

if still no joy

Right click on usb drive select properties you will have an array of options

Select the hardware option then select your drive properties policies

restore defaults

In XP

Right click on your drive select properties then on customize restore Default in W 7

Firmware flash drive corrupted (the disk is write protected).

Solution
To repair damage to the firmware, the solution can be found on google seach engines. Example; Fix transcend flash drive, Fix sandisk flash drive, Fix PQI flash drive, etc.

Cause of damage is bad sectors

To format the player you will need to connect it to a PC using a USB cable. The player will then be shown as a removable drive in my computer. Right-click and choose format. Thats it. Be aware that this will erase all of your data including songs, play lists etc.

you can replace your usb port, or YOU CAN USE YOUR PENDRIVE IN ANOTHER COMPUTER, by which you will come to know that whether your USB port is OK or not.

There is no repair options for transcend pendrives.You can try formatting them, by right clicking on the device driver and selecting format option.Press start and the pendrive is formatted.Also the data in the pendrive will be deleted.Generally if the device is not being detected, then the pendrive can be claimed for a lifetime warranty.

when i duble click on my pendrive icon it shows please insert a new disk. and it even doesnt open up

pen drives generally have 3 to 5 years warranty, if your pen drives are not detectng on other systems also, its better to replace it
