I have a hotpoint older stove don't have the model # at this time. the digital display on my oven stopped working { stovetop works fine). After about 2 months of nothing all of a sudden it lights up and reads 27d0 and beeps. I can't get it to do anything else.

either its the oven sensor rod located at the top of the ovens cavity,or your bake element could be getting a hot spot which is when it gets a discolored spot in the element and can no longer pass sufficient current to heat the oven past 250 degrees

Reolace the electronic oven control.

If it has a timer of any description, make sure it is set to manual, refer to your instruction book.

This light failure often occurs when a bulb goes out and the filament shorts, or when the bulbs are removed or installed without first unplugging the oven from the power line. Either can cause such a failure on the controller.
