I replaced all bad caps so suspect back light. Is there any wat to test them? Ohms, Scope, external power source??

"Not Optimum Mode 1280x1024 60Hz"
- The monitor turns on but turns off by itself, the LED blinks green.
- If you detach from the PC points to "control cable" the picture runs continuously in the vertical direction or presents while line , and
as soon as it is reconnected, the monitor goes off.
- The monitor does not turns on and dont dispaly anything, the LED blinks green-lit, if you detach from pc points to "control cable".
- The monitor turns on, works well some time, but after a window apiers "Not optimum mode. Mode recommended 1280X1024 60Hz"
- The monitor turns on, works well only with low resolution 800x600, when try to change a window that reads "Not optimum mode. Mode
recommended 1280X1024 60Hz"

The fault is the backlight, Samsung has designed it as when one of the baklights are faulty the unit shuts down.

We are having the same problem. It started out with the screen coming on dim and flickering and is now to the point where it refuses to come on even if I turn it on & off several times (with a 10-30 sec. pause) and then after being left alone for and hour or so suddenly comes on like nothing ever happened. Must be gremlins!!!!!!!!!!

I have the exact same problem!
its the microchips NT68F63L on vga board. you need to open monitor to solve the problem. there are more than 3 ways how to repair. Can you open the monitor?
