My HK AVR 120 will shut off at times when set on/about -10db. It only does this when in whatching DVD's. I don't know if this matters but when it was hooked up last time and in order to hear any audio on a DVD I have to select the select via the source button DVD then CD. If I were to select CD first or DVD by itself I get no audio. Any help is appreciated. I just rememebered soemthing else, intermittmently I will hear a loud pop/thud from what I believe is the powered subwoofer.
Thanks again for your help.
If you are comfortable opening the unit, try unplugging the sub board from the mainboard on the unit and then turn it on. If you get sound then you need to replace/repair the sub board.
