Unknown if this is new timer that is wired wrong or if load has interference, or existing timer that stopped working.

If new timer, then check wiring: This timer is for single-pole application only and requires neutral wire.
http://waterheatertimer.org/GE-timers-and-manuals.html#15067
Then check for line interference by moving timer to different Load, for example ordinary incandescent light bulb.
Make sure slide switch is set to Timer.
Slide switch works as ordinary on-off switch, so see if slide switch works correctly.

If timer stopped working:
Feel timer if it is warm to touch indicating overload or internal timer short.
Timer is rated for 1/2 HP at 120Volts. Check nameplate on motor for HP.
Check for short in line by temporarily replacing timer with on-off switch, and check wire nut connections.
Move timer to different Load, for example ordinary incandescent light bulb.

If timer has gone bad, then return it to Home Depot and swap for different timer.
If load interference is problem, then buy mechanical spring-type countdown timer like Intermatic FD60

Kenmore 800 dryer shuts down after running down to 40 minutes on the timer. When I restart it at that point it runs for about 30 seconds and shuts down. If I turn the timer back to 90 minutes it runs down...

Sounds like you may have a bad motor. If the motor is overheating it will shut down on its overload.

If its a shorted contact in the timer you could mark the spot where it stops and restart it again. It should stop exactly at that point.

Refrigerator starts -runs for two weeks, compressor won't restart

It might be but I would first check the condenser to see if it's blocked or if the condenser fan (if it has one) is not working. The "buzzing/humming/ticking" sounds you're hearing is the compressor trying to restart after it became locked down. Excessive pressures in the system or compressor overheating is usually the cause although sometimes the bearings in the compressor simply lock up.
Check to see if the fridge cycles on and off by the thermostat. If it doesn't cycle and just keeps running then the thermostat is bad and that can cause compressor failure thanks to "slugging". If it does then you want to check the defrost timer. Turn the timer's dial until it clicks into defrost and see if it comes out on its own. Check if the compressor has trouble starting after defrost. If it stays in defrost the timer is shot. If the timer times out and the compressor will not restart then the relay might be bad or, the compressor might be going bad.
A 3in1 relay/capacitor/overload might help out and give the unit a little longer time but sooner or later it will go.

Wont start after running all night without shutting off

Bad timer, When the machine just runs and runs and runs, or runs for a very short time and shows that it ran the whole cycle but the clothes are still wet then the timer has gone bad and needs to be replaced. IF you go to repairclinic.com. You can order the timer from there or your local appliance repair company. They are around 40 dollars and you can replace the part fairly easy

Bosch dishwasher timer freezing

There is a recall on the control board of many of these models, butyour problem is likely not related. It sounds like a plugged drain system or a possible bad drain pump. That's why you are hearing the pump running constantly. I have written a guide to help. It is here. Thanks!

Dryer doesn't heat and runs constantly

depending on the model; if the timer is in the automatic cycle it will not advance if there is no heat, it must heat in order to satisfy a thermostat to tell the timer to advance this is what makes it automatic. If the timer gets to the end of the timed cycle and will not advance to off, sounds like a bad resistor connected to the timer, I would first check the heat circuit to find out why its not heating. Dont mean to complicate, but everything in the dryer has something to do with heating, element, thermostats, temp switch, timer and even the motor. Check for burnt wires at the terminal block for the cord. hope this helps.....

Dryer runs but wont auto shut off

On auto dry cycles, the cycle is controlled by moisture sensing bars located on either the rear or front bulkhead, ( visible inside dryer ) if the moisture sensor bars are shorted together (normally by wet clothing) the dryer will continue to run. If the dryer continues to run when the clothes are plenty dry, check and see if there is anything stuck between the sensor bars, (sometimes a metal sequin will cause this) or see if they are damaged. If not, you may have a problem with a timer contact, if the timer advances and stops moving at the same spot each time, I would suspect the timer. If this is an EvenHeat dryer, examine the control board located to the right of the timer in the control panel, for any burned components. Hope this helps.
