When the batteries die I have to reset the date and time again in order to take pics! Was there something that I missed or did wrong?!

You need to have the battery in order for system to boot, however, you can reset it.

After downloading the photos to your computer then click on Date created at the top of the your picture folder. The photos will the sort by the date the photos were taken starting from the earliest date. If you click on Date created again it will sort by the latest date the photos were taken.

The proper procedure for long life with the battery is to have it totally drain out before charging it. The computer time will not be correct at all times

yes it does that when the date you choose is unable to be restored...this might be because files are missing or corrupted ...try again a few times and choose an earlier date ...but ..you will not find any missing or deleted data ...only the settings are restored and the programs...

On the motherboard of all computers is a small battery. It looks like a watch battery. The purpose is to keep a small amount of electricity going to the motherboard so the time and date can stay current. When that battery gets low on power or dies then the time and date is wrong.
