All of a sudden, i am being told my brother-585cw is not connected and that i have no spooler PROBLEM. This is the first time this has happen,and i can't find my CD to reinstall.

I am trying to re-install my brother printer DCP-585CW but it says driver out of date so will not install sortware

There may be a issue here that you have not unistall the original program before attempting to reinstall the new program.

If you have done this and still get a problem, you should go direct to Brother's web site to download the latest driver version that corresponds to your Windows OS such as XP, Visita, or Win 7.

Brother DCP 585CW unable to print error 46

A possible reset might solve hence remove your printer from the PC and uninstall the printer software. Now reinstall the printer driver software and connect the Printer to be detected and installed. Check printer properties to see the ink levels.
Use head cleaning before a test is taken . It is possible that the head is not reacting to the need of the command , can be an issue with ink drying , can
also be poor ink cartridge contacts

My brother DCP-585cw printer prints too slow. What can I do to speed it up?

Go to the control panel and then into the printers section. Right click the DCp-585cw and select printing preferences. Under the section quality chose fast. This should speed things up.
