We have a 50inch plasma LG TV. Recently we've been having a hard time turning the TV on. some times it take a few times to stay on, other times it can take upto half hour of trying to get the TV to stay on. Once the Tv is on, it works great. What is the problem and can it be fixed?

If that line is present on all the channels and inputs, then it is most likely a component inside the set that is failing. Plasma television parts are getting very hard to find.

check for defective component part at the z and y sustain board.

plama tvs do this often after you have it for a while. there is no salution but to buy a new tv. this happened to my dad's friend and he said you cant fix it you just have to buy a new one. he akso said his next tv wont be a plasma of ant type!

This issue is a common, but hardly talked about from LG. Your tv is probably 1 or 2 months out of warranty, and now you're hearing a series of clicks. I am having the same problem with my LG 60" plasma. However, now it will not come on at all? Have you found out what the problem is?

The plasma gas tubes may be damaged or the gas couldve leak out. remember plasma have to remain upright at all times even when transporting them, if they are not you should just set it up straight for about 3-4 hours before turning it on.

Since the set is less than 1 year old, it should still be under warranty. Request warranty service.

The noise you are hearing is probably arcing inside the set on the power supply board. Continuing to attempt to turn on the set will only make things worse. Please request warranty service as this is unusual for a TV that new.
