Unlocking a vidoe or picture

SD cards have a slide switch along one edge. The position farthest from the metal contacts locks the card, protecting it from writes. The position nearest the contacts unlocks the card.

This used to happen when the write protect lock on in the memory card. Refer the manual to see how to remove the memory card.
After removing the memory card, unlock the write protect tab as shown in the fig.

SD cards have a slide switch along one edge. The position nearest the contacts enables writing, the opposite position protects or locks it. Try sliding it fully to the locked position and then fully to the unlocked position. If that doesn't work, try a different card.

Is the slide switch on the side of the card in the unlocked position? If so, try this...remove the card and the battery...press all the buttons...leave it alone for 20 minutes...insert the card and then the battery...turn it on.

hello. on many cameras the memory card itself has a tiny locking mechanism. pull the card and look for a little slide mechanism. other wise go through the menu on your camera until you find the lock. regards, joe

There is switch on your SD memory card, try to put it on unlock position. If it doesn't solve the problem, you may need to open the camera and check the SD card slot. Refer this solution:

when the internal cameras memory is full it will beep several times and it will show the
memory full icon which is the explanation point!

Have you loaded the software that came with the camera?
Do you have the usb cable to connect the camera to the computer?
Are you using internal memory or an SD card?

The cameras internal memory is very small, you will need an SD card Page 28 in the manual

I noticed that this camera does not work well with cheaper memory cards. The only brand that works without fail is the SanDisk brand.

myself i dont have the software but I can download the pictures. Its just a matter of choosing disk drive instead of pc drive on the setup
