There is 2 problems that makes this tv have standby fault.. so here they are,!

1.)main av board ---the 8 leg eeprom loses programing just under LVD CABLE TO SCREEN -£14.99 from a guy or if you can program yourself 4.99 for the flash to reprogram,.

2.)POWER SUPPLY FAULT IS MLT199TL PSU. (UA4)AREA, SG3525AN (16 leg) Regulating pulse width modulator.

the first fault all votage at psu will be there ,, 5v / 12v / 24v

the second fault psu will have 5v standby but no 12v or 24v this will stop the secondary from fireing up.. hope this helps.

Baird 47inch LCD TV PERFECT PICTURE BUT NO picture

First thing to check is mute, if its not muted then you have an issue with the main board or power board..without the model I don't know if the voltage for the sound circuitry comes from the power supply or if its processed in the main board.

I have baird x47dtv no picture no lights power going through it and a alarm sound very faint coming through speaker

Baird branded (vestrel tv) also called wharfedale 47" tv use 2 power supplys identical to each one slave one master. Inside tv one on left is main supply
Usually all you havecto do is replace this one board dont listen to people saying mainboard ect thats rubbish...these tv have common faults with the poorly designed phihong psm210-417R switching power supply (voltages 5v 12v & 16.5 and i think 24v cant remember

Bad components in your power supply. May need to replace, available at Encompas Parts or shopjimmy;com.

Baird lcd 32" model x32

This is a protection circuit that prevents the tv from coming on (to stop damage of the components) ....you need to check your voltages off the power supply and make sure they all read well (EX: 24v12v5v etc). Also look for popped capacitors that would make the values lower than need be for the tv to power on properly.

Once you repair the power supply then you may need to replace other components if needed (EX: backlight inverter)!

Please rate if this helps! :D

Replacing capacitors is ALWAYS the cheaper option, but you need to have experience it, or you'll create more damage than good!

Tv turns on for one second then turns back off

I believe it is a Back Light failure. Either because of a bad Ballast, a Power Supply, or a bad Lamp that is not replaceable. If it is a bad Ballast or Power Supply they are replaceable. Checking the Voltage from the Power Supply for the Ballast will tell if the Power Supply is bad. It should read around 250V to 300V.
If the Voltage is there, the LCD Panel will probably need to be replaced. I recommend a professional to evaluate it to be sure.
I hope this helps,

No power

On the power supply board there will be a connector that says PO which means power on from the main board. Make sure that goes High when you press the power button. Make sure your stby voltages are ok on the PS. If the PO goes High then the power supply needs repaired. A lot of the ic's on these boards are not available for us to buy, so you have to replace the board. If it doesn't go high then the main board is at fault, gets a little more tricky with that, but not impossible.
