Hello
You can replce the cooling fan of your tV. For that, you have to open your tV. You must have a sound knoledge in electronics to do the work. If you have. preoceeding are given here. Follow it please.
[1]]Disconnect all attached components and the power cable from the outlet. Maneuver the DLP to allow access to the rear of the television. Allow the set to cool for at least one hour if it was recently used.
[2] Remove the rear panel of the television and locate the cooling fan. It is usually located at the rear of the television casing near a grated opening for ventilation purposes. If multiple fans are installed, the cooling fan usually is the larger one. Avoid unnecessarily disconnecting any cables or components from the television.

[3] Remove the projection bulb and set aside to avoid any damage. Avoid touching the bulb surface directly to prevent any permanent damage to the bulb. Note any cables or screws that you remove to allow you to reinstall them correctly.

[4] Unscrew the cooling fan case from the television housing and carefully remove it from its place. Disconnect any power cables from the circuit board that is connected to the fan. Remove the fan from the housing or replace the entire housing, depending on the manufacturer. Use compressed air to remove any dust or loose debris that can damage the television.

components.

[5] Secure the fan to the television. Connect any previously removed cables. Place the projection lamp housing back in place and replace the cover on the rear of the television. Power on the television to ensure the fan is active and no unnecessary noise is present.

Fan and its type number will be printed on fan's body itself. Look ofr the same type and number. OK.

I have an dlp 60 inch phillips. It show an perfect picture for two hours then the screen goes black. I have had the lamp bulb and color wheel replaced.

Check that the lamp fan or thermal sensor are not failing...the bulb is designed to turn off if it gets too hot...thus the fan or the sensor may be acting up. Hope this tip helps

Lamp replaced 1.5 years ago, now the picture goes out but comes back on every few minutes, as if it gets to hot and needs to cool down. Fan comes on.

Lamps only last for 5,000 hrs -8,000 Playing hrs
It means every hour you Play TV Lamp burns up the hours, so after 5,000hrs on most Lamp needs replacing, some Lamps dont even last this long DLPs are not like Projection you can play them 24-7 and Tubes will remain good, But Lamps are like a light bulb they all burn out after so many hours.
Best thing is to turn TV off if you are not watching it, in order to Save Hours burt on Lamp.
Mats has Lamps for $99.00 1-800-628-1118

I have the same issue, I have figured out its a fan issue, my fan must have went out. After about ten minutes the bulb will get too hot and the picture will start to turn a way off tint color. I put a fan on my projector and after about 40 min. the picture returned to the appropriate color. I am still investigation on how to get and replace the fan.
