This product was just handed down from a nephew to my 7-year-old son. We don't have any software or manual for it. I am wondering if I can download music from my computer and have a work like a regular mp3 or if it will only play disney songs from the sd card. I actually tried to download to it, and it seemed to work, but I can't get it to play anything but the sd card. Any suggestions?

The memory could be corrpt in the player. It some times happens so try reformatting the memory to clear it up. This will erase everything and then you can put your songs and stuff back on it. Here's a link to the manufacturers instructions on how to format the player.

Plug into USB port. Use Windows Explorer to view contents of your PC. You will see two drives associated with your Mix Max. The first is your internal memory the second is your SD card. Drag and drop files into this file. These can then be played by choosing card from menu

SOURCE: Won't play all songs

Possible that the files have been saved inthe wrong way. If you have them again in the PC , delete off all the files you had sent, format th device or erase off all files, scan for any virus in the device before loading back the music files with the PROPER METHOD OF COPY AND SAVE, USE THE RECOGNISED PROGRAM for the ipod- the ones the songs are playing presently.
