I have a Miata with two speakers in each headrest. I have new amp to wire into speakers I have bought for replacement. My 4 Infinity speakers are 2 Ohm. My amp is rated: Channels 4-Channel RMS Power at 2 Ohms 150 W x 4 RMS Power at 4 Ohms 100 W x 4 I really want to run those 4 speakers into one channel to leave other channel for door speakers. I think this is going to push my impedance to low. Is that correct or will I be okay?

There is a way to do this, but it is awkward and is not recommended. Depending on the impedence of the door speakers and how many there are. I am assuming from your posting that you have a 2 channel amp. If you wire the two speakers for each seat in series (creating a 4ohm load), then wiring both seats in parallel (putting the load to 2ohms), these could theoretically be wired to one channel. BUT, this will not give you balance left and right. Also, if the impedence is different, you run the risk of damaging the amp.

Re: Infinity Gold AMP Wire Diagram

Well I don't particularly care for Haynes manuals, but my FSM's did not have anything either. I found this in thejeep cherokee haynes manual and it says that it is for 97 and later models but see if it is close. it looks like there are 2 harnesses so I will list them seperately:

Hartness 1:
[7] Left Soundbar Speaker (+) BR/YL
[8] Left Soundbar Speaker (-) BR/LB
[5] Left Front Door Spkr (+) DG
[1] Left Front Door Spkr (-) BR/RD
[9] Right Soundbar Speaker (+) DB/WT
[3] Right Soundbar Speaker (-) DB/OR
[6] Right Front Door Spkr (+) VT
[2] Right Front Door Spkr (-) DB/RD
[4] Power Amp Relay Feed DG/RD

Harness 2:
[05] Right Soundbar Spkr (+) TN/RD
[13] Right Soundbar Spkr (-) TN/BK
[06] Left Soundbar Spkr (+) WT/TN
[14] Left Soundbar Spkr (-) WT/BK
[11] Passenger Door Spkr (+) LB/RD
[10] Passenger Door Spkr (-) LB/BK
[04] Drivers Door Spkr (+) DG
[12] Drivers Door Spkr (-) LG/RD
[01] Power Amp Feed
[02] Power Amp Feed
[07] Power Amp Ground
[08] Power Amp Ground

The tweeters run in parallel off of the door speakers.... If I can help any more let me know.

Speaker wiring diagram for a 08 dodge 2500 truck with 7 speaker infinity

Never have found good wiring diagrams for stereo's. Bought them and color codes didn't match. I have mitchell and alldata at work, they don't match. I wire them in with a volt/ohm meter. I find B+, Then hook ignition the the heater control wire. Ohm out the speakers. Thing is, you have infinity. You'll have to find the amp and cut the speaker wires and patch them there also, first. Just a note.. All speaker wires are twisted/paired wires. Cut the tape back 4 to 6 inches to find them. Another note. The speaker wires from the stereo to the amp will be a set of colors. From the amp to the speakers will be different colors.

97 miata headrest speaker wiring

The HR speakers in the Miata are by default wired in parallel so if both your door and HR speakers are 2 ohms, that could present the amp with what it perceives as a short circuit. Probably won't hurt the amp but it might shutdown in protect mode for a minute or two then restart.

You could change the wiring around to make the HR speakers wired in series. Wiring info on doing this here: http://www.3rdstrategy.com/M5_specs.pdf

I have a 2002 Chevrolet Camaro with the Monsoon stereo system, The front speakers take four wires. The Infinity Kappa 62.7i were the perfect speaker, but they stopped making them. I do not want to put...

one of those wires on your speakers is the common ground for both sets of wires in your camaro, Just take the negative wire from both sets of wires and run it to the single wire on your new speakers. The other 2 are positive from each wire. good luck

How do I hook up my infinity 1600a at 2ohms with 2 4ohm speakers?

Placing the speakers next to each other face down, you will notice that the connection points run in sequence +- and +-. Now connect the - (negative) from the one speaker, to the + (positive) of the other speaker. Now connect the open + from the one speaker and the open - from the other speaker to your amp. Your amp should have a bridging indication. On the connection points of the amp, you should see a mark pointing to the first + and the last -. That will be your bridge and thus utilizing the full potential of your amplifier

Jeep cherokee infinity amplifier

yes, you have a few options. Chances are, its your amp.
1st I would test the speakers - find the amp under the back seat, then test which wires go to the front speakers and use a AA battery to check if the speaker pops with those two wires and the battery.  If it does pop, its your amp needing replaced.  You can switch out that infinity amp for an aftermarket one very easy. Just use a testlight, or voltmeter to test the wires, and switch them to a new 4-channel amp.
if you need the wiring diagram, let me know...and dont forget to rate me! or ask for more help!
