Hitachi Plasma TV model P50H401

I have the same problem. I tried for the last ten days to contact hitachi. I finally got someone on the phone tonight. I will give his name. DONALD employee # 25956. He told me I was on my own. My monitor is only 15 months old. $1,800 for a set that gives you 15 months is ****. He said hitachi will not stand behind its product 3 months past its year. Yes, its the same P50H401. I think we should start a web to see just how many of this model is crapping out. It is the powerboard and many offmarket companies sell used or new boards to fix the problem. Just one thing. If powerboard didn't **** out in time, you could have more problems. Pot luck if ya buy an after market powerboard. So, for me. I'm buying an after market powerboard $20 board $10 shipping and I will take my chances. If I lose, I will send it out to my closest service man.

What board are you buying? I have the same problem and the technician replacing it says the yboard is on back order country wide.

I have the SAME problem. This TV is only 11 months old in my house!!! I am beyond angry. They said I needed a "software upgrade" and is mailing it to me. All of my information was taken by the rep on the phone. I paid 1600.00 for this huge piece of "landfill-er". I am thinking they have an obligation to either fix the problem, or replace this television. Any changes in your situations to the other posters?? [email protected]. Let me know.
