If i have a leak in my head and nothing blown, would i just need a head gasket set replaced or a new head?

May be a new head gasket but there has to be a reason for the leak
incorrect head bolt tensions, bolt holes full of oil or gunk preventing the bolts from tightening the head down, warped head ( head needs milling flat)
or corrosion holes in which case you will need a new head

Snowy picture, are heads dirty if so will head cleaner work, could there be another problem other than dirty heads?

if it is your heads, a head cleaner tape slowly grinds down your heads. Abrasion bad. Take to shop and have them clean heads with solvent and soft cloth or Q-tips. Might not be your heads, much electronics, but sounds like might be.

Cracked Head???

not necessarily be a cracked head but this is an indication that the head gasket is blown out
the only way to tell if its a cracked is by a machine shop milling the top layer off the head this will show in a milling that you do or you dont have a cracked head

if its cracked head you have several options dealer head brand new
remanufactured head from any auto parts store
junk yard head 50/50 chance that these heads are cracked too

mostly i think right now its just a bad head gasket have them replace both head gaskets when they do the heads better for vehicle so you dont have to run into problem again with head gaskets
