How can I remove 24"

For most towel bar and bath accessories there is a very small screw or allan bolt, located on the underside of the post, which holds the post to the mounting hardware and you can simply unscrew it to remove the post and then remove the hardware w/a screwdriver (usually phillips) saying that...i just looked up the installation instructions for moen towel bars and it says very specifically that the posts snap or click into place on the mounting hardware...it also refers to a square hole located on the underside of the post. perhaps we are meant to put a small flat head screw driver in there to release the "clip" and post. here are the installation instructions: http://www.faucetdirect.com/mediabase/specifications/yb2218_5624sp.pdf
