My new balckberry pearl works great. but two days ago the LED red light on top of the screen started to flash. then it changed to green and i dont know how to turn it off.
I am afraid it is eating off my battery.
My sons and wife also use the blackberry pearl 8100 but they have no problem with the blinking LED. I live in new york. can some guru or wiz help me please.
Thanking you,

My wife and I both have Pearl's. I found that the problem on both of them was caused by Color Pearl, an application that allows you to change the color of the Pearl's trackball. It was not a problem until upgrading the Blackberry software to v 4.5. I tried rebooting, removing the battery, etc. The light always came back on after an alert. Removing the application ColorPearl did the trick. Just go to Options>Advanced Options>Applications and delete ColorPearl. Hope this helps someone.
